This half term we are doing athletics. Please remember to have PE kit in school on a Tuesday and a Wednesday. No Roefield during Summer term.
Week 2 and 3
We have been revising the techniques of throwing we have been taught. The sling and pull throw. We know what a good pull and sling throw look like and we are evaluating our partners. We have also practised movement using a hop, step and jump between parallel lines from both a standing start and a run up. We have also worked in teams completing relay changeovers.
This week we have been using pull throws. We know it is important to hold the object in the throwing hand reaching back at shoulder height. We must also have the opposite foot forward to the throwing arm. We then step from back foot to front foot, keeping the elbow high and bring arm and hand through fast and last.
