HISTORY

Look at the hieroglyphic alphabet used by the Egyptians on the BBC website below and follow the examples set. Then create your own hieroglyphic alphabet using pictures relevant to our life today. Finally, create your own message for others to solve.

DT/ENGLISH

Look at the way pyramids were created using the video below:

Then use materials from home to create a pyramid. This can be from sugar cubes, Lego bricks, recycled boxes etc.  What do you need to consider when you place the items on top of each other? Is your pyramid stable? Share a photo of your finished pyramid or bring your model to school to share with the class.

OR Write a dairy in the role of a pyramid builder. How did it feel to work in the heat, move the blocks etc? Use ideas from the clip as a guide.

ART

Create a simple printing block using a range of materials such as potatoes, foam boards or string on cardboard. Watch the clip below as a guide:

Don’t worry about using a roller, paint brushes work just as well here.

SCIENCE
Look around your house for objects/materials based on the three states of matter. Please look but don’t touch as some of these materials may be hot or cold and dangerous. Watch the clip below as a guide.

PRSHE

We are looking at ways we can keep ourselves healthy. Keep a food diary for a week. Make a specific note of any healthy choices you make, such as fruit or vegetables.
