Spring 2

We are looking at the topic 2D to 3D. We are hoping to make a hat for our 'recapping' sessions in class. We are going to use fleece and add buttons and felt decorations. We will be testing a range of sewing stitches.

Week 2

We looked at a range of different hats. We investigated their use, the way they were made and the materials that were used. Then we deconstructed some simple hats to view the pattern pieces.

Week 1

We looked at the hats made by the designer Philip Traecy. We were amazed by the shape and form of his designs. We discussed our likes and dislikes of each hat and tried to think of the ways in which we could improve the designs.
