Farmer Dave came in to school to talk to the children about his dairy farm. The children wrote questions they would like to ask him about his farm. Farmer Dave explained that he had over 200 cows on his farm and showed the children what food they ate and the robotic milking machine. After the children went outside to see two calves that Farmer Dave had fetched into school.
The children looked at different maps and aerial photographs of farms. They then designed their own farmyard and labled them with the different animals and building you might find there.
