Week 4
This week we have been testing magnets in Year 3 and looking at contact forces in Year 4.
Week 3
Science Week
This week we have been looking at journeys. We designed experiments to test paper planes or gliders. We could alter the variables to either alter the materials used or the size of our gliders and planes. The challenge was to stay in the air for as long as possible, not to travel the furthest distance.
Week 2
This week we have been testing a spinning top on a variety of materials to see which cause it to slow down through friction.
Week 1
This week we discussed our initial thoughts about forces. We tested simple toys and considered the following forces: magnetism, friction, gravity, push and pull.
