Zoolab brought a rat, an African land snail, a snake and a tarantula for us to look at, feel and ask questions about.
The children sorted animals in many different ways through
self chosen criterias e.g. number of legs, land or water animals, animals who live in hot or cold or both areas, animals with fur or no fur etc.
We discussed how animals can be grouped into mammals and learned about the features of mammals, reptiles and birds.
The children researched the different animal groups through videos and created a fact sheet about what they had found out
The children researched elephants then used an app called Keynote on the ipad to create a presentation.
