HOMEWORK

Please complete and submit your homework by Thursday 8th February 2024 so that we can celebrate your work in class and on the website.

English –Persuasive Writing

Watch a Wallace and Gromit film of your choice (with parental permission as some of these films are PG) and adapt the story to show how Gromit is faced with a dilemma and how he could overcome this. Link your ideas to our modelled write in class.

Stop frame animation

Use an Ipad/phone to make an animation of Wallace and Gromit`s dilemma using stop frame animation. For anyone wishing to complete this homework, Mrs Schofield will happily demonstrate how to make an animated gif, if you need guidance with this.

Art – Cath Riley/Collage

This term we are creating collages and studying the work of Cath Riley. Look at the images of her work by using the slider to scroll through her designs on the following website:

Create your own Cath Riley style picture using pencils and sketching techniques taught in school.

RE

As part of our work around the Sikh faith we will be considering the importance of equality and the ways we could make our world a fairer place. Create a poster to remind people about the need for equality and kindness to others.

PRSHE

This half term our theme is `Keeping Myself Safe`. Create a poster to explain to others how and when to call and use the emergency services. Consider the key information needed to be shared and the service required for what need – e.g. fire, police, ambulance or coastguard.

Use the following information as a starter guide:

History

Visit Clitheroe Castle with your family members and share your knowledge of the Normans. Take photos of your visit and present your work as a PowerPoint/Keynote presentation or written fact file.

Or make a model of Clitheroe Castle. Annotate your creation to label the key parts.
