We enjoyed retelling the story of "Whatever Next!"
Baby Bear arrived in our classroom with a helmet, some space boots and a rocket.
NASA needs us. They sent us an important letter. We trained to be astronauts and took the Saturn V to the moon. Meanwhile, we kept diaries. They are absolutely amazing!
Our outdoor classroom was hit by a spaceship! The good news is that it ended up in the book "There's an Alien in Your Book." We created some fantastic descriptions after thinking about what the alien might look like.
The children's reactions!
We have been retelling the story of "The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark."
The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about owls. We enjoyed the "Owl Babies" story before making some of our own owlets. Using the joining word but, we added speech bubbles. We had a special visit from SMJ Falconry and we got to meet some real owls.
We listened to a poem called "Cold" by Shirley Hughes. After that, we went on a winter walk and made some wonderful collages of the season. We were then inspired to create our own poetry as a result. We hope you enjoy listening to some of them (videos below).
