Spring 2

We wanted to find out what would happen to a seed if it did not have any light. We set up a fair test. We planted one seed in soil, watered it then put it by the window. We planted another bean seed in the same amount of soil, watered it then put it in a dark cupboard. We checked on the progress of both seeds each week. Below are photographs of the plants after 2 weeks.

Look at what has happened to the bean seeds.

We looked at the different stages of growth of a daffodil from a bulb to a mature plant.

We planted the seeds we found in the fruit and vegetables, the melon and tomato seeds grew well.

We looked for seeds in fruit and vegetbles then sorted the seeds by our own chosen criteria e.g.big or little, red, white or black etc

We went outside into the wildlife garden to look for signs of new life. We found snowdrops, primroses, leaf buds, catkins and daffodil flower buds.
