As a class, we worked collaboratively to make rain gauges. We needed to use our measuring and cutting skills to make sure our gauges are accurate and precise. We will be using them to collect data on the amount of rainfall that falls over the course of the year and across the seasons. Watch this space!
As part of their ongoing scientific study of materials, the children in 1RL have carried out an investigation to find out which was the best material to use for the roof of the Little Pig.  They quickly realised that paper is not waterproof and, after testing several other materials, they decided that plastic or glass would be the most suitable to keep the Three Little Pigs dry.  Much fun was had by all!
