After trying to figure out where Goldilocks is, the children in 1/RL used interactive maps on the iPads to explore London. We had lots of brilliant discussions about the city.
We discussed how we are part of a much bigger world. We looked on google maps and then we made 3 circles so the children could visually see the different scales. Our world, our country and our town.
We have been naming the four countries of the United Kingdom. The children worked together to create a messy map and label it.
