Adverts

We have been looking at adverts in print and on television. We have looked at the key features and written our own to link with our Science topic. We designed our own toothpaste boxes and thought about the technical vocabulary we could add to enhance our work.

We wrote our own scripts and made props and slogans. We filmed our adverts in class and around school. We hope to invite you in soon to see our creations!

Newspapers

We have just started our new English unit. We have been looking at newspapers and spotting the key features.

Guided Reading

Here we are using our spotter glasses to locate and retrieve tricky vocabulary. We then use the dictionaries to find the definitions of these words.

We have been reading and acting out play scripts from the television programme 'Bananaman'. We liked this character because he links to our Science topic.

We wrote our own scripts based on the film Ratatouille.

Poems on a theme

We are just starting our new English topic. We have been rehearsing and performing poems linked to the senses.
