Autumn 2 - The Great Fire of London

We began our topic ‘Fire, Fire!’ by walking around school to find evidence of the fire safety equipment and notices.

History detectives at work! We had to look at an artefact and write down what we thought it was, what it was used for and write any questions we would like to ask to find out more. It was great as we moved around all four of the artefacts in our groups.

Wonderful writing about when, where and how the fire started.

We imagined that we were there at the time of the Great Fire and we wrote a postcard about it.

We imagined that we were Samuel Pepys and we wrote a diary using a ‘quill’.
