Dancing Raisins

We were fascinated watching the raisins in the lemonade. We described what we observed and tried to explain what we thought was happening.

Humans- Keeping Healthy

Can you always see sugar ?
We learnt about how much sugar is in different foods. We investigated what happened when we mixed different types of sugar with water. We know that sometimes the sugar is there but you can’t see it.

Satsuma Science!

Do all satsumas have 10 segments? We answered the question by peeling the satsumas to count the segments. We collected the information in a table and thought about what we had found out.

We investigated what happens when we put a satsuma in water. A child had done this investigation at home with science squirrel so they explained it to everyone.

We went for an Autumn walk. We saw lots of leaves on the floor. Some flowers were still growing, we were very surprised to see blossom on a tree. The berries are food for the birds.

Exercise is important.

We thought about different ways we can exercise and why it is important to exercise. We noticed changes to our body when we exercise. We were hot, thirsty  and our hearts were pumping fast. We crated our own surveys to find out which was the favourite way to exercise- swimming was the most popular choice.

Hygiene

We thought about things that we can do to help keep us healthy. Today we explored hygiene. We observed glitter and pepper ‘germs’. The glitter ‘germs’ spread across our hands and needed soap to wash them away. We observed how the pepper ‘germs’ moved away from the soap. We worked together to write an explain of what we had observed.
