Autumn 2

We have been using torches to explore shiny things.

In science lessons this term we will be learning about the seasons.

Frost detectives. We went outside to explore the frost. We took our own photos to collect evidence of what we observed. When we zoomed in we thought the ice looked like rice or crystals.

We made some fantastic leaf prints using the leaves we had collected and pressed.

We have looked at trees in autumn. We will look again in winter, spring and summer to see if they have changed.

We have been talking about how the weather can change in the different seasons. It isn’t always sunny in summer or snowing in winter. We talked about how animals and plants change as the seasons change. The seasons repeat in a cycle.

We went on an autumn walk. We collected leaves and looked at how they were similar or different. We saw some mushrooms and toadstools. We know not to touch them because they might be poisonous.
