"Father Christmas Comes Up Trumps" made us smile and giggle all the way through.

Princess Pearl wanted our help to be heroic and heal Zog's wing after he had been extremely clumsy. We have been busy making "magic medicines." Only if they rhyme would the magical medicines work!

The Year 1 children used the joining word “and” to describe Zog.
We have enjoyed being doctors ourselves!
During Drawing Club, we drew Zog and wrote secret codes to let him know what a helpful, caring dragon he is! The children blew Miss Lancaster away with their drawings!
We found Zog! He had a medical kit with him. We enjoyed the story of Zog and the Flying Doctors.

We have been talking about real superheroes, as well as who our own personal heroes are and how they may help us. We thought about what we might want to be when we are older. The Year 1 children practised using “and” to join their ideas together.
Bonfire Night! We created some firework art using different shapes, before thinking about the sounds fireworks make and writing them down. The Year 1 children practised adding the suffix "ing" to the end of words.
We enjoyed making edible sparklers, which we shared with 2K. During Forest Friday, we sang bonfire songs, and 2K amazed us with their amazing Bonfire Night poems.
We had a special visit from the fire station! Gary and Aiden taught us about their jobs as firefighters, including what equipment they wear and the sort of emergencies fire engines need to go to! The children asked some super questions.
Vocabulary Ninja! We have been "sprinkling" these words throughout the day to support and encourage the children to use them as well.
We were extremely excited to be in school on Halloween! We enjoyed the story of Funnybones. During Drawing Club, we drew and made our own skeletons (which are incredible), wrote speech bubbles and danced to the skeleton song!
