Autumn 1 - Light, Reflection and Shadows
This half term we will be investigating light, reflection and shadows.
Investigating how our pupils change when exposed to different levels of light. WE then looked at how sunlight can be damaging to our eyes and made informative posters. Can you work out why Mrs McLeod's cool guitar glasses are actually rally bad for your eyes?!
Spotting patterns in the way shadows change
Finding transparent, translucent and opaque objects
Using pinhole boxes to help understand that darkness is the absence of light
Investigating reflection
Thinking of and exploring different light sources and grouping these into natural and artificial
Finding out what we already know about light, reflection and shadows
