The children had a selection of animal pictures to sort how every they wanted. They then investigated carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and sorted the animals accoringing to what they eat.
The children have been finding out about nocturnal animals and how they use their senses to survive. We found out that tarsiers rely on their sight, owls use their hearing, rattlesnakes use their sense of smell, and moles rely on their sense of touch.the children used thieir sense of touch to investigate what could be in each bag. They had to describe what each item felt like and what it might be.
The children ranked a selection of pictures according to what they thought humans needed to survive. They found out that humans need air, food and water.
The children discussed how humans keep healthy. they sorted a selection of foods into heathy and unhealthy.
