Our wonderful coins in the style of the British artist Jody Clark who won a competition to draw the Her Majesty the Queen on a £1 coin. The coin was produced from 2015.
Two children brought in £1 coin with Jody Clark’s initials on. It was so tiny that we had to use a magnifying glass to see it.
Learning how to draw the nose which is one of the trickiest features!
Learning how to draw the eye in detail:
Miss Markham wanted to know how we drew our self portraits. This was her initial assessment.
Using the sketching pencils to discover the different shades and tone according to the hardness of the pencil! We looked at some of Lowry’s work to show the shade and tone he used.
