Animals - survival and growth.

Is your arm span the same length as your height? The children investigated this question by measuring the length of their arm span and their height.

Does the oldest child have the biggest hand? The children investigated if the oldest children had the biggest hands, they drew round their hand and measured from the tip of their thumb to the tip of their little finger using cubes. They then ordered the self according to age, oldest to youngest. We found out that the oldest children did not have the biggest hands.

The children went on an adult and young hunt. They have to find the young that matched the adult animal on their card.

The children have been finding out what humans need to survive. They ranked the different items according to what they thought was the most important.
