This half term we have been exploring the work of Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet. We have been using watercolour paints.
Recreating Monet's 'Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies' 1899

We researched the life of Escher. We used various sources and made notes in our Art journals.
Listening to Beethoven whilst drawing in the style of Escher
We looked at Eye by M C Escher. We used mirrors to look at our eyes and then produced a drawing in the style of Escher.
Linking to our Science topic 'Skeletons and Movement' we enjoyed looking at a variety of animal skulls. We then used a range of pencils of varying grades to sketch a skull. We really enjoyed this activity.
