A message from Mrs Keighley

Hello Everyone,

I'm sure things have been a little harder these last few days with this horrible weather, let's hope the sunshine comes back again very soon!
Back to our mouse story and what happened next.
I got a tall step ladder, a torch and the mouse trap and climbed up into the roof space, it was very dark with lots of cobwebs. I put the trap down with the biscuit in it and set the trap door but  then, as I  climbed back down the ladder, I heard a little click. Could it be the mouse trap? Back up the ladder  I shot, I shone the torch and sure enough there at the back of the trap, munching on the biscuit, was a little grey mouse with shiny eyes and long twitching whiskers. Now what could I do with this lovely little mouse? Where could I take him where he could make a warm, safe and dry new home?
Have you got any ideas?
I needed to think of somewhere quite quickly because I didn't want him to be frightened. In the field near to my house there is a huge pile of logs all stacked up with lots of little spaces in between. So the mouse and I took a little ride in my car to the log pile where I gently opened the trap door and the little mouse scuttled away to find his new home.  I drove home happily, the mouse was safe and my loft would be mouse free.
Just before I got into bed to read my book I thought I'd better put the trap back in the loft just in case. I had only just got back down the ladder when CLICK....Oh no not again...and again .... and again.....and again!
So now there are eight new mouse houses in the log pile near my home. If you ever walk past those logs in the fields near my home look out for shiny black eyes and long twitching whiskers and don't forget they really like chocolate digestive biscuits..............
 Lots of love,

Mrs Keighley x
