Monday

Starter: 

Scroll down on the Pobble website and complete the 'Question Time' section.

Write a short character description of the unusual girl in your exercise book, try to include similes, strong adjectives, expanded noun phrases and fronted adverbials (Y4).

 

Tuesday

Write a description of the setting. Focus on the senses surrounding the girl. What did she see, hear, smell, taste and touch? Look at the building shapes and the construction. Remember to write in extended sentences and include all of your punctuation as before.

 

Wednesday 

Starter:

How will the story end? Will the girl escape from the tower forever or will time stop? Will she have help? Are there any other characters that could save the day? Create your own ending and write your paragraphs in your exercise book.

Thursday

Starter:

Find out about words that end with -ture or -sure on the BBC website.

Main:

Create your own Clock Tower town. Draw your design in your exercise book and label key parts with expanded noun phrases, e.g. a sharp, twisted metallic cog.

Friday

Starter:

Investigate how to use the possessive apostrophe on the BBC website.

Main:

Write a letter to the girl in the tower thanking her for her heroic service.
