Toys and Games in the Past
This term we are going to be exploring what toys were like in the past and how they have evolved to the toys we play with today.
We looked at a range of toys from the past that we considered who would have played with them and how they might have evolved, or if they had stayed the same and were still popular today.
Making Paper Toys with Mrs Atkinson
We explored the different materials of toy and how these have changed through the years. We considered similarities and differences.
We thought about what toys children would have played with through the different decades. We interviewed Mrs Brooks Pendlebury, asking her about her toys that she played with over 50 years ago. We discovered that although children played with plastic dolls 60 years ago, it was a different plastic and dolls were not as cuddly.
