Ready for battle?!
Today we had a fun day learning all about the Battle of Hastings. We discussed the gruesome story - it sounded almost like it was made up! We then were put in an army, either the Anglo Saxons or the Normans, and given a role to play. We reenacted the battle outside
We began this unit by ordering events on the British timeline, using knowledge of topics we have already covered and the dates given to us. We worked fantastically well in our teams with some great historical language used. We then focused on the Normans and where abouts in the timeline they were situated
