Spring 2 Christianity

This term we are studying Christianity and we will focus on the question - `Does how we treat the world matter?

Class 1D will also link our learning to Pendle Values and British Values wherever we can.

Week 1

To understand that our behaviour affects the world.

We linked this to our school value of Responsibility and the British Values of Rule of Law and Individual Liberty.

What fantastic ideas the children shared -

Don`t put litter on the floor.

Pick up dog poo.

Don`t put rubbish in the sea.

Look out for special bins.

Think about burning fuels.

Lots of trees chopped down to build houses.

Get an electric car.

Week 2

To understand that Christians believe that God created the world.

Linked to the British Value of Tolerance of Different Cultures and Religions.

Today the children listened to the First chapter of the Bible explaining how Christians believe the world was created. The children drew pictures and wrote about what was created.

We also made a class display to show our learning in art form. Well done 1D!
