After reading up to Chapter Two of 'Mossop's Last Chance', we thought about Farmer Rafferty's character, then we wrote words that were true about him in the centre of the zone of relevance then put the antonyms in the outer ring.
We studied the book Chalk by Bill Thomson.
Our activities included drawing what we would like to come to life on the school playground, then writing down what we thought each drawing was. After we had finished the book we imagined we were one of the children in the story and wrote letters of apology for being scared of the dinosaur that had come to life.
