This term we are looking at the work of Paul Cezanne and Cath Riley.
Final Pieces
Week 5
This week we have been using biro and testing work on an enlarged scale.
Week 4
This week we have been investigating mark making using charcoal. We revised the smudging technique we used in the infants and tried hard to show shadow and tone.
Week 3
This week we have been using the iPads to take images of apples. We edited our images to black and white so that we could see the tone, shade and shadows. We used the pencils to sketch our photographs.
Week 2
This week we have been experimenting with the art pencils. We made tester strips and sketched an apple. We tried to include different tones in our work.
Week 1
This week we researched the life of Paul Cezanne. We found out about his life and his skills. We made simple notes and sketches about his work too.
