Significant Person- Neil Armstrong 

We asked the question what makes a person significant? 

We compared the lives of two significant explorers- Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong. We discovered the both men were famous for doing something for the first time. We compared the expeditions of both men and identified the similarities and differences. 

This we investigated the events in Neil Armstrong’s life. We the ordered the events chronologically. 

This week we were considering why was landing on the moon such a significant event, what happened during the mission and why it would have been so news worthy in 1969. As journalists we reported on the event.

We considered the chronology of the different astronauts that have been into space. Did you know a fruit fly was the first living thing to travel to space?
