‘Rights and Responsibilities’- Today, we thought about how we can take care of our world. We made our own booklets and litter bugs using recycled materials. We also recapped how we can care for each other and our classroom. We have introduced new classroom monitors!
‘Valuing Differences’- Today, we listened to the story ‘We are all Wonders’ which teaches us that we are all different, but all special and wonderful! We then discussed all the things that make us wonderful and then wrote it down. We also made friendship bracelets, read stories to our friends and drew a self-portrait on a jigsaw piece to recognise that we are all different, but we all come together as friends and as a class.
‘Me and My Relationships’- We started the day by talking about people who are important to us and people who can help us if something is wrong or making us unhappy. We drew around our hands and drew 5 people we could think of. In the afternoon, we read the Colour Monster. We sorted the colours into in the different feelings jars and painted our own Colour Monsters as a team. We decided that's it's always good to talk about our feelings and share them with the people around us.
