🎾 PE ( Mrs Mercer) Badminton
In PE, we worked on developing our badminton skills, concentrating on controlling the racket whilst striking a lighter object. We used balloons to practise, before beginning to use the shuttlecocks.
PE – (Mrs Atkinson)Tennis Skills and Teamwork
This week in PE, we continued developing our tennis skills. The children practised control, coordination and accuracy through a range of fun activities. They are becoming much more confident with rallying and are learning how to work with a partner effectively. It’s been fantastic to see their determination grow each lesson.
R.E.
In R.E., we explored how guidance and teamwork can help us through difficult or unfamiliar tasks in life. To bring this learning to life, we made the most of the sunshine and took part in an outdoor activity that required collaboration and trust.
The children reflected thoughtfully on how sometimes challenges become easier when we listen to others, accept help and offer support in return. There were some lovely discussions about how teamwork strengthens communities and friendships.
English – Persuasive Speeches
In English, the children gave their persuasive speeches encouraging all countries to sign up to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

We were incredibly proud of how maturely the children spoke about children’s rights and why they matter.

🧮 Maths
This week we focused on multiplying and dividing fractions. Everyone worked really hard to understand the methods and apply them to problem‑solving tasks. Don’t forget to log in to maths.co.uk to complete your homework and keep practising this skill!
🎾 PE
In PE, we worked on developing our tennis skills, concentrating on hand–eye coordination and control. The children also enjoyed some super fun team games that really showed off their teamwork and determination.
🎭 A Special Treat!
We were very lucky on Friday morning to watch a brilliant production of The Jungle Book. The children were captivated from start to finish, and it was a wonderful way to end the week.
