Welcome to Autumn 1. Please choose an activity or activities from the list below. Each project links to a different subject area and enhances work already covered in class. Please submit your finished piece by Monday 12th October 2026. Completed tasks can either be sent to the class email address or brought into school. Have fun!

Art – Prehistoric Painting
Consider the way we have been sketching animals in class. Create your own line drawings of British animals. Think about their basic shapes, sketch lightly and then add detail by using a black biro.

DT – Electricity and circuits
With an adult, search your house for items that have electric lights, e.g. a kettle, a torch or the television. Make a list of all the lights you find. To extend this, you could sort your list into the rooms you found them in. Which room has the most lights?
Geography – Who lives in Antarctica?
Research and write a weather report for Antarctica. If you are feeling very confident, film yourself reading your weather report and send this to school on the class email address.
