Forest Friday

WS found a newt. The children were fascinated!

We measured and made a 30 metre whale! We were amazed by how big it is.

Butterflies 🦋

Spirals in nature 🐌

We made a giant spider web! Lots of team work, perseverance and enjoyment!

Minibeast hunt. We can't wait to learn more about them!

Today, we had our own Bonfire celebrations. The children worked together to collect all sorts of leaves and sticks for a bonfire, we learned about Guy Fawkes and ate our edible sparklers and sang Bonfire songs. Lots of wonderful memories made.

Autumn is full of beautiful colours, with lots of green, yellow, red and brown leaves. We decided to make leaf kebabs by threading lots of different leaves onto a stick. The children had a challenge of collecting 10 different coloured leaves!

Another fun Forest Friday afternoon, looking for signs of Autumn. It ended with the children being hosed down by Miss Lancaster. Another very happy end to the week.

We love Forest Friday! We shared the story of the ‘Leaf Man’ and discussed signs of Autumn. We got into teams and collected natural objects, including different coloured leaves, acorns, apples and conkers. The children enjoyed making leaf pictures. Can you see the penguin and the giraffe?
