Learning all about migrating birds! We went outside and formed a ‘flying v’ before collecting lots of leaves to create our own migrating birds. We answered questions on why birds travel south for Winter, we enjoyed a hot chocolate whilst discussing the dangers of their flight.
How do animals survive in the colder months... we thought about why animals find it hard to find food and then created a poster on hibernating animals.
We then learnt all about hibernating animals. We went to our tables and used the facts we had learnt, to help us discover which hibernating animal we had.
We thought about how as humans we keep warm in the colder months...
