Autumn 1

We followed a set of instructions to make some toast. We then wrote our own set of instructions for the Three Little Pigs.

Put on your glasses and practise writing the “g” sound!

The Three Little Pigs phoned us up to tell us that Mummy Pig is missing! PC Groszewski needed our help to try and find her.

We have been thinking about what the characters might be saying, thinking and feeling in the story of the “The Three Little Pigs.”

We have been retelling the story of “The Three Little Pigs.” We have some super story tellers!

We enjoyed spending some time in the library looking at all the wonderful books we have.

We have been discussing ways in which our families show they love and care for us.

Some of this weeks exciting phonics provision!

This week we have been talking about our families. The children enjoyed listening to Miss Lancaster talk about her family, especially her niece Poppy. We read the book "The Great Big Book of Families" and discussed different types of families and how they are all special.

Some of our exciting phonics provision!

The children made 'listening ears' ready for a listening walk. We read a story called "The Listening Walk" before setting off. We stopped, listened and talked about the things we could hear. We heard the wind, cars, children playing and an aeroplane. Can you use your listening ears at home? What sounds can you hear in the environment?
