Teddy Bears Picnic
What a glorious day, the children enjoyed making their sandwiches and biscuits for this afternoons teddy bears picnic. They sang songs and recited poems before joining mums, dads and grandparents who came along for their food. The teddy bears proudly modelled the T shirts the children designed and made for them.
Sporty Day was a great success! The sun shone and the children enjoyed taking part in a variety of different sporting activities while parents and grandparents cheered them on!
To kick start our topic "Patterns" the children used i-pads to take photographs, and drew sketches of the patterns they found in and around the school playground.
This half term our topic has been 'From Penguins to Parrots'.
On 18th May KS1 visited Blackpool Zoo. The journey there was uneventful ( no sick bags required!) and the weather was perfect. On arrival we headed straight to the sea lion show which was about to start and got the best seats in the house with an excellent view of the pool. We stayed in the amphitheatre to eat our lunch, we had to be vigilant as the scavenging seagulls were out in force!
